Kalamunda is a new electorate that is located in Perth’s eastern suburbs foothills.

Kalamunda has approximately 23,000 electors and takes in 163km2. The electorate includes the localities of Kalamunda, Maddington, Lesmurdie, Paulls Valley, Piesse Brook, Walliston, and parts of Bickley, Canning Mills, Carmel, Darlington, Forrestfield, Gooseberry Hill, Gosnells, Maida Vale, Martin and Orange Grove.

The electors in Kalamunda come from the old Darling Range (63 percent), Kenwick (23 percent), Midland (10 percent) and Swan Hills (5 percent) districts based on 2003 data.
