Let's keep moving on the Ocean Reef Marina!

An overwhelming amount of people support a Marina at Ocean Reef Boat Harbour and just want the City of Joondalup to get on with the project.

Four years ago, the State Government provided the City of Joondalup 0,000 to enable them to conduct a feasibility study for the Marina.  For two years, nothing happened - until Alannah MacTiernan, Minister for Planning and Infrastructure, took up the issue and told them to get on with it.

Due to the keen interest in the Ocean Reef Marina, I have invited Minister MacTiernan to meet with local residents to discuss this project. She will discuss how the State Government will ensure that the City of Joondalup progresses the Marina as a priority.

The meeting will be at 10.30am on Wednesday 27 August 2008, at the Ocean Reef Sea Sports Club, Boat Harbor Quays, Ocean Reef.

I realise that not everybody will be able to attend the forum. If you wish to receive feedback on the issues raised at the meeting, please call 9304-9681 or email louise.durack@walabor.org.au  to register your interest.

This important project will require the support of a State Government with strong and stable leadership.  Ensuring the City of Joondalup gets on with it will be my number one priority if I am elected.
