Riverton was reduced in size during the 2007 redistribution but this metropolitan seat still covers an area of 24km2 and contains approximately 22,000 electors.
The electorate of Riverton takes in the suburbs of Parkwood and Shelley, and parts of Canning Vale, Riverton, Rossmoyne and Willetton. It also falls into the local governments of the City of Canning and the City of Melville.
